Your affiliate site can't outrank a ten-year-old domain. A parasite page can. Publish comparison content on platforms that already outrank everyone— Medium, LinkedIn, Substack—and keep your monetization intact.
01 — The Strategy
We pull keywords through Ahrefs and SEMrush to confirm volume and assess KD. If the top ten is dominated by DR 70+ sites, we select a parasite platform with matching authority.
Medium and LinkedIn handle commercial comparisons well. Dev.to and Kaggle perform better for technical software categories where audience trust skews specific.
We write content with real criteria—pricing tiers, feature breakdowns, use-case fit—and disclose affiliate relationships clearly to stay compliant and useful.
Contextual links pointed at the parasite page, paced over weeks, sized to the keyword's difficulty. Monitoring flags adjustments needed around core updates.
02 — Monetization
Both models work. Some affiliate programs and platform policies restrict direct affiliate links within published content. In those cases, the parasite page links to your own comparison or landing page, which then carries the affiliate links.
Other programs and platforms are fine with direct affiliate links embedded in the content itself, which simplifies the funnel. We check both your affiliate program's terms and the target platform's current content policy before building a campaign, since platform policies on this specific point shift more often than people expect.
Affiliate commission on the comparison page itself is the most common path. Direct links embedded in content simplify the funnel when allowed.
Collect email signups or clicks to a landing page with its own conversion funnel. Useful for longer cookie windows or nurture sequences.
03 — Pricing
Clients running multiple "best X" keywords across a niche often find the Growth or Domination tier delivers better per-keyword economics. Platform selection and link support scale efficiently across batches.
| Feature | Starter ($125) | Growth ($250) | Domination ($500) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Parasite placements | 5 | 10 | 20 |
| Keyword research | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Content writing | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Tier 2 link pyramid | Included | Included | Included |
| Platform selection | Standard | Optimized | Fully custom |
| Premium news add-on | Available | Available | Priority access |
| Ranking report | Yes | Yes | Yes + monthly review |
5–10x ROI multipliers vs. waiting out new domain growth aren't unusual for the right niche.
04 — Risk Profile
Affiliate content is exactly the category Google's November 2024 policy was built to address. The policy targets large-scale, commercially motivated content published on a host domain with minimal editorial connection to that domain's core purpose.
Forbes Marketplace's contributor network is the textbook example: high-volume affiliate content publishing under the Forbes name with limited oversight. A handful of well-written affiliate comparison posts on your own Medium or LinkedIn account, clearly disclosed and genuinely useful, looks nothing like that pattern.
This tactic is gray-hat. You're using a third party's authority to rank content you wouldn't easily rank on your own domain. What keeps a campaign on the safer side is restraint, disclosure, and genuine content quality— not pretending the tactic is something other than what it is.
We do not run affiliate parasite campaigns for gambling (outside premium tier), pharma/pill products, adult content, or illegal substances. This is a hard line across every service we run.
05 — Execution
Charles Floate's Parasite SEO Secrets course teaches the mechanic well. ParasiteSEO.com helps identify opportunities. Both are legitimate if you've got time to research platform policies, write comparison content across multiple platforms, build Tier 2 links, and monitor for policy shifts.
Most affiliate marketers we work with are already running their own site and managing existing content. They don't have bandwidth to add platform research and manual link building on top. We run the entire process—which is why 250+ clients have chosen this over DIY since 2011.
06 — FAQ
Sometimes. It depends on the specific platform's current content policy and your affiliate program's terms. We check both before building your campaign and route through a landing page instead when direct links aren't allowed.
Free platform placements typically index within 7–14 days. Premium news placements can index same day. A competitive comparison keyword (KD 40+) usually takes several weeks to reach stable page one even with full link support.
The mechanic is similar, but scale and editorial connection mattered in that case. A handful of well-disclosed, genuinely useful comparison posts on your own account is a different risk profile than a large-scale contributor network publishing thin content purely to exploit authority.
Yes, based on keyword and product research we conduct as part of the campaign. If you have specific product knowledge or angles, we'll work them in, but you don't need to draft anything yourself.
This happens occasionally. We monitor active placements rather than publishing and walking away. If a platform tightens policy, we adjust content, migrate to a different platform, or restructure how the affiliate link is presented to stay compliant.
